Maximum class size of three students ensures maximum learning opportunities.

Individualized programs

An individualized program plan is designed for each and every student to help determine needs, and areas of strength or weakness. Our unique small class size allows our teachers to more easily meet the learning needs and styles of our students.

Built-in study skills

Our goal is not only to teach the curriculum, but also to develop independent learning skills. Students work to develop effective study habits and independent learning skills with teacher support.

Certified and qualified teachers

All of our teachers are certified by the Ontario College of Teachers, and bring with them a broad range of experience, knowledge and skills from varied teaching backgrounds.

Academic, applied and open level courses

Relaxed, supportive environment

Each student is assigned a Program Supervisor who oversees the program and liases with schools, teachers, post-secondary institutions or work placement agents. Sincere thanks to New Horizons for past and ongoing support offered to our children both at the primary and secondary level of school. Your professionalism, teaching talents, understanding, compassion and aspiration for excellence certainly present the challenges of learning as hopeful rather than hopeless. Obstacles become opportunities to look for a different approach. Wow, what an outstanding group of people. Please keep up the good work!
